Intel employs contractors across multiple sectors to assist in their various campaigns. In 2017, I was employed at Sapient Razorfish , now Publicis Sapient, when they signed a contract with Intel to handle their entire marketing campaign for purchasing products on the Intel website as well as designing new UI/UX for purchasing intel products from Intel or Intel Partners (i.e. Best Buy) for 2018.
Intel had assembled new product photos and a color guideline along with some marketing photos and asked us to work with their developers to assemble detailed handoff sheets for them to code. Our team was a project manager, and a designer, and myself, designated as a product designer.
We took 2 weeks to understand their entire business model, meeting with executives and program managers from Intel, to design an updated business model that we then pitched to executives to get approval.
After some intsense negotiations, I alongside the other designer were able to hand over multiple design files showing every state as well as detailed design specs with breakpoints the intel dev team could use. I personally took the initiative, on top of my other work, to work alongside the devs by debugging their front end code and advising them on best practices for front end responsiveness.
Intel was so pleased with the work we provided that it opened up more opportunities within Intel for us to create marketing pages for their Windows 10 / Intel campaign and extend our contract, bringing in an additional $80,000 in revenue.
